Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
a) By enrolling in lessons with New Note Music, Students or guardians agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms create a binding agreement between New Note Music (“we” or “us”) and the student (“you”)
2. Lesson Structuring & Scheduling
a) Lesson Types and Duration: We offer 30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute guitar lessons at varying rates.
b) Free Trial Lesson: New students are eligible for one free 30-minute trial lesson to experience our teaching style.
c) Scheduling: A minimum of 24-hour notice is required to reschedule lessons. Without this notice, the full lesson fee applies.
3. Payment & Fees
a) Payment Methods: All payments must be made in advance via Stripe through MyMusicStaff. Payments secure your lesson spot for the agreed-upon duration.
b) Refunds for Lesson Packages: Pre-paid lesson packages are non-refundable. If you need to pause lessons for any reason, please contact us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
a) 24-hour Cancellation Policy: Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in the full lesson fee being charged.
b) No-shows: Failure to attend a lesson without any notice is considered a no-show and will incur the full lesson fee
5. Late Arrivals & Punctuality
a) Lessons will conclude at the scheduled time, even if the student arrives late. Late arrivals cannot be extended.
6. Referral Program
a) Discount: Receive a $10 discount for each successful referral who signs up for lessons. There is no limit to the number of referrals eligible for this discount.
7. Liability Waiver
a) Injury Waiver: New Note Music is not responsible for any injuries or accidents that occur during lessons or while handling instruments on or off-site. Students are advised to handle their instruments with care.
8. Code of Conduct
a) Respect & Behaviour: Students are expected to maintain a respectful attitude during lessons. New Note Music reserves the right to terminate lessons for students who engage in inappropriate behaviour without a refund.
9. Privacy Policy
a) Data Protection: We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. Any information collected will be used solely for lesson scheduling, payment, and communication purposes. We do not share your data with third parties.
10. Photography & Media Release
a) Consent to Photography: By enrolling in lessons, students (or their guardians, if under 18) grant New Note Music permission to take photographs or videos during lessons or performances. These may be used for promotional purposes, such as on our website, social media, or marketing materials.
b) Opt-Out Option: Students who do not wish to be photographed or recorded should notify New Note Music in writing prior to their lesson
c) No Compensation: Students or guardians acknowledge that they will receive no compensation for the use of these images or videos.
11. Amendments to Terms
a) New Note reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions as needed. Any changes will be communicated to students in advance.
